Rohit Purohit

Born on the 8th of June in 1986, in the city of Jaipur, Rajasthan, Rohit Purohit is a model and television actor best known for his roles in television shows like Adaalat, Encounter and Porus. After completing his education, he chose to Mumbai to try his luck as an actor. In 2009, he got his first break in the Star Plus show Shaurya Aur Suhani. Rohit is married to Sheena Bajaj, his co-actor from the television show Har Yug Mein Ayega Ek – Arjun. The couple tied the knots in January 2019 in Jaipur after being in a relationship for six years.
As mentioned, Rohit made his debut in the role of Chitwan in the 2009 Star Plus romantic drama series Shaurya Aur Suhani. The following year in 2010, Rohit was chosen to play the role of Marco on the courtroom drama anthology series Adaalat on Sony Entertainment Television. 2010 also saw him in the role of Aryaman in the Colors TV soap opera Aise Karo Naa Vidaa. With 2011 rolling in, Rohit Purohit was seen in the role of Bhadrasaal on NDTV Imagine’s historical drama series Chandragupta Maurya. Based on the life of Emperor Chandragupta Maurya, the founder of the Mauryan Empire, the show was highly successful and was on air for a whole air before it was discontinued in 2012. 2011 also Rohit playing the role of Suraj Purohit on Zee TV’s drama television series Sanskaar Laxmi. Moving forward to 2013 Rohit was seen in Life OK’s crime detective supernatural television series Hum Ne Li Hai- Shapath in the role of Varun Kashyap aka Rubber Man. The same year Rohit was cast in the role of Karan on Star Plus’s crime television show Har Jug Main Aayega Ek – Arjun. The show was highly successful with the audience and the critics alike with the show remaining on air for a whole year till 2014 when it was taken off the air. Moving to 2014, Rohit was seen in the role of Girish Sinha on Sony Entertainment Television’s crime television series Encounter. That same year Rohit was cast by Star Plus as Aryan on their crime thriller television show Ishq Kills. The show had a total of thirteen episodes and was inspired by true events. Moving to 2015, Rohit is seen as Malik Altunia on And TV’s period drama series Razia Sultan. 2016 saw him playing the role of Dara Shikoh on ABP News’ show Bharatvarsh. Moving forward to 2017, Sony Entertainment Television cast Rohit in the role of Alexander the Great on their historical drama show Porus. Focusing on the life of Indian ruler and warrior Porus, the show became an instant hit with the audience. The show ran for a year, till it was taken off in 2018. Moving forward to 2019 Star Plus cast Rohit as Ranvijay (RV) Shroff on their drama television series Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji. The same year in 2019, Rohit was seen as a contestant on the Indian cricket based reality show Box Cricket League on MTV India.
